Brief Photo Journal - 5th Annual Meeting

The conference opened Sunday afternoon with words of welcome including those from Dr. Jean-Paul Boudreau (left), Dean of Arts at Ryerson University, the host campus and Dr. Robert Gilmour (right), Vice-President of Research, University of Prince Edward Island, the host campus of the AIRS project.
After the poster session (above), in the evening, the Policy & Planning Committee met (right), and the Students and Early Career Research Professionals (SECRP group) enjoyed pizza and more, followed by discussion coordinated by Arla Good & Blair Ellis (below)

 

Day 2

In a session updating attendees on the recent progress, each of the Theme and Sub-theme Leaders spoke briefly, and short presentations were also given as examples of work being done in each constituency. (see below, many of the Theme & SubTheme Leaders - right to left from Theme 1 to Theme 3)

Following this plenary session overview of the recent progress within the AIRS Themes, members of each Theme met as a group or in sub-themes, getting to know each other better face-to-face and discussing such topics as theory, translation of findings into practice, the AIRS book project. Members of two Theme 2 (Education) sub-themes are shown: left Sub-theme 2.2 (Formal teaching of singing); right 2.3 (Teaching through singing).
