  • At the 15th International Conference on Music Perception and Cognition, 23-28 July 2018, held jointly in Montreal, Graz, La Plata, and Sydney, Simone Falk, Université Sorbonne Nouvelle Paris-3, France, delivered a keynote at the Conference: KMM: Riddles of time: Rhythm and temporal structure in language and music.   Link (page 19)

    The following papers on singing research by AIRS collaborators or co-investigators were presented:

  • Dr Motje Wolf, Lecturer in Education, De Montfort University, Leicester UK, invites expressions of interest in preparing a new book ‘A practical guide to mentoring beginning music teachers', a workbook for mentors to use to develop themselves. A list of chapters can be found here

  • New research in Portugal by Felix Neto, highlighted in Pacific Standard Magazine, finds youngsters feel more positively toward members of an ethnic minority if they have learned songs from their culture, How Music Can Fight Prejudice, Felix Neto, Pacific Standard.  Read story here

  • A new published paper by Lauren Stewart presents two studies that describe the development and validation of the Music@Home questionnaire, which comprises two versions: Infant and Preschool.
