Position for Researcher in Psychology/Cognitive Hearing/Healthy Aging

In this position you will be part of our Science & Technology group 'Cognitive & Ecological Audiology'. This team works on a systemic understanding of individuals with hearing impairment and their communication partners. It drives innovation, develops and applies new concepts in order to enable old people in particular to participate in communication and to maintain an active lifestyle. Also, we manage and conduct research in the domains of cognitive and ecological audiology, psychology of healthy aging and auditory neuroscience.  LINK

Your tasks

  • Research and innovation with the aim to meet the needs of hearing impaired customers and their communication partners, esp. in old  age and with special challenges (e.g. health problems, cognitive decline, dementia, multi-sensory impairment, mobility restrictions)
  • Initiate and support activities that apply and implement scientific evidence into practice in R&D, Retail and Marketing
  • Conduct research and collaborate with experts in the field to understand relevant aspects of hearing and aging
  • Manage and coordinate research projects and clinical trials (incl. GCP, project planning, documentation, data management, applied statistics, interpretation of results)
  • Communicate and promote results to Sonova stakeholders and scientific community
  • Review and evaluation of scientific evidence and project proposals
  • Project related line management and teaching of junior colleagues

Your profile

  • Dedicated professional with a higher degree (Master/ PhD) in either one of these research fields: psychology, cognitive hearing science or healthy aging
  • Broad scientific interest with an urge to apply
  • Experience and endurance in conducting and advising research projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to coordinate and lead small project teams and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Excellent competencies in communication and interaction in multidisciplinary teams
  • Visionary and result-oriented person, who is open to new and challenging tasks
  • Open-minded team player with a sense of humor
